PRIVATE HELICOPTER LICENCE
50 hours in a Robinson R22 Helicopter
This course takes approximately 6 to 7 weeks to complete depending on how the theory component of the course is completed. Chopperline offers a commercial ground school that runs for 9 weeks; alternatively you can study the theory via distance learning.
The Australian Private Licence is limited to private use in all air space and is not able to be used for work purposes. This licence is generally used for leisure purposes and on private properties for mustering.
Fees include, 50 hours of helicopter flight training to a private pilot standard, flight test fees and other charges. GST is applicable to the cost of this course.

PRIVATE AEROPLANE LICENCE
40 Hours in a Cessna 172The Aeroplane Private Licence course is usually completed in seven weeks and is based on the Civil Aviation Safety Authority syllabus and requirements.
Chopperline offer a 2 week condensed theory course as well as a 2 day BAK course to cover the CASA syllabus. Alternatively you can self study the theory with a PPL Kit which we can supply for you.
The Private Pilot Licence allows you to fly in and outside controlled airspace anywhere in Australia by day. After completion of a minimum of 20 hours training and successfully completing a General Flying Progress Test you are approved to carry passengers in the local training area. The General Flying Progress Test is optional.
